The Kookmin University GKS Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded opportunity for international master’s and PhD students to study in Seoul, South Korea. Administered by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) under the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) program, this award covers tuition, living expenses, airfare and more—empowering talented individuals worldwide to pursue cutting-edge research and professional growth at one of Korea’s leading institutions.

Overview
Kookmin University, located in the heart of Seoul, participates in the 2026 GKS Graduate Scholarship for master’s and doctoral candidates. Recipients begin with a one-year Korean language training course, followed by their chosen degree program (two years for a master’s, three years for a PhD). The scholarship’s mission is to cultivate global talent, deepen international academic exchanges and support research in science, technology, engineering, and other fields crucial to sustainable development.

Key highlights:
• Fully funded for the entire duration (language + degree)
• Preference for STEM fields and candidates from developing countries
• Immersion in a dynamic academic environment with state-of-the-art facilities

Eligibility Criteria
